The
Great Dane is THE GREATEST DOG on the planet in our opinion. Combining the
stature of a great lion to be reckoned with and the temperament of a patient and
loyal friend, our Danes are bred for the best of all attributes.
We hand hold and inspect every puppy every day so that they are "humanized" and ready to adopt you and your family as their own. They are fed only the highest quality foods which are supplemented as needed to instill massive healthy growth and positive attitude.
We only have just a few of these high quality winners up for sale in the course of a year. If you have specific questions or are desiring a specific dog for a specific purpose please feel free to email us as needed.
Commonly asked questions about our Danes:
How big do they get?
Males are usually 175 to 225 lbs with females running 120 to 165 lbs.

What colors to you have?
We only breed Harlequins, Mantles, Blacks w/white markings and do get an occasional
Merle... yes Harlequins do look like giant stocky Dalmatians.
Are they good with kids and small spaces?
Danes love to travel and are therefore very comfortable in a back seat or motor
home. All of our Danes are raised around children and are not aggressive at all
towards them but remember these are big dogs and they can accidentally step on your
foot or slap you with their tail when they are happy.
How much property do I need for a Dane?
People who live in residential communities do not have a problem at all but remember
when a Dane goes to the bathroom and you have to clean up the remains there is more
to be dealt with than when walking a small dog!
Do I have do do anything special for this breed?
Danes usually live a long healthy life of 9 to 13 years when well taken care of.
This means excellent dog food, heart worming, and regular bathing. Our Danes to
date have never had any health issues such as displasia, deafness, blindness, or
heart arrhythmia.
Are they "house dogs"?
It is not uncommon for us to have 5 Danes sleeping at the foot of our bed on a given
night. They are easily house trained and do not shed in the house like longer haired
breeds. Just remember to clean off the coffee table because if you don't their tail
will!
Do they do well with cats?
Yes believe it or not they really do well with them as a rule especially if they
are raised with them.
What
is the price range for your pups? Do you deliver / ship pups?
WE do ship our pups, BUT only when the health and mental state of the dog is assured
by quality transportation. Our kennel van can actually meet you halfway if you are
within 200 miles of Nashville for a nominal delivery fee.
Our commitment is to our Danes to give them the best life possible and to assist our new family of Great Dane owners throughout their Danes life.
Finally, we thank you for your interest in the Great Dane breed of champions and with many years of breeding behind us we assure you that we will do everything possible to insure that you get a healthy, intelligent, massive, loving, and kind new family member from us.
Thanks for considering Kandi Kain Danes!
