Puppy Names Description: The Olde English Bulldogge is the result of crossing the English Bulldog with the American Pit Bull Terrier, the Bullmastiff and the American Bulldog. The attempt to have an English Bulldog without the aggression was the original goal. In creating this breed, the result was a dog that had the typical English Bulldog breathing problems eliminated, as well as tail abnormalities. It also lessoned some of the persistence of some of the other breeds. The breed still had a proclivity for aggressiveness and should be handled with caution. The head is fairly large in proportion to the the body, with a wide neck, broad chest and short muzzle. This breed likes to chew so they should be supplied with plenty of chew toys. Drools and slobbers a lot. Type: CompanionHeight: 20-25 inches Color: Variety of colors including
tan, reds, white, brown, black, cream Temperament: Friendly around family,
but can have an aggressive personality; handle with care. Generally has
a very loyal, courageous and outgoing disposition. Guard-dog: This breed is fearless when it comes to protecting it's master. Very unfriendly to strangers.Care and Exercise: Olde English Bulldogges need daily walks for optimum health. They can be very active or be comfortable with moderate amounts of activity. They tend to be naturally slow and have a body form that does not work well with jumping or strenuous exercise. Activity: Moderate - needs daily walks, but not strenuous exercise. Living Environment: Very adaptable to most temperatures, but should avoid extreme cold or hot environments. Health Issues: Can be prone to hip dysplasia; Could be susceptible to "bloat" - which is painful and often fatal, brought on by eating too much food too quickly.
